  13. Learning personality types and color types reminded me to not only know my own strengths and weaknesses in the classroom but also to know the strength of my fellow coaches who can help me balance out my weaknesses and whom I can help through my strengths. This is the same for knowing scholars' strengths and weaknesses. It is important for us to take time to learn about ourselves and one another so that we can learn together better. I am excited to share this knowledge with the new success coaches as well.

  14. I already knew that I was a very organized and task-orientated person. I thrive best when given clear and specific instruction. I was able to connect what I already knew about myself to others by recognizing how we can build one another up specifically . As a team we were able to analyze strengths and weakness of our personality and how we could use our strengths to help others weaknesses. Furthermore, our team mates can help us with our weaknesses. This collaboration will lead to a positive dynamic which will thus lead to a healthy environment for the students to learn and thrive in.

  16. I’ve learned more about how we all have strengths and weaknesses, but when we come together we cover everyone’s weaknesses. We each have our own unique skill sets that can be very useful to help mentor people in many different ways. I’ve worked in a drug addiction research lab for almost 2 years now. I believe the skill set I have learned from being immersed in the scholarly research field can greatly help other students and hopefully inspire them to move towards a career in science as well.

I can apply this in my day to day life and in the classroom. By learning how to let go of stress and start being more positive, students will pick up on your energy.
